Teletherapy

I use a HIPAA-compliant video conferencing platform to conduct teletherapy sessions with clients located in Pennsylvania, Delaware or Vermont.

Due to licensure laws, I am unable to see any clients located outside of these three states.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF TELETHERAPY?

Many clients find that it is easier to make time for therapy when they are able to join a video session rather than having to account for time commuting to and from a therapy office. Teletherapy also allows clients greater access to anxiety, trauma, and OCD specialists even in situations where there may not be many specialists located very close by to where they live. I am able to work with clients located anywhere in Pennsylvania, Delaware or Vermont.

Beyond convenience, video sessions can also offer a therapeutic benefit, particularly when treating certain anxiety and OCD symptoms. This is because it allows us to design exposures that use items or situations in the home, office, or other location where a client typically encounters triggers.

If you still aren’t sure whether video sessions will be a good fit for you, then I recommend that you request conducting your initial consultation via video (rather than phone) so that you have an opportunity to experience what it is like to connect with me via a video platform.

TELETHERAPY TIPS:

  • Test your connection ahead of your appointment

  • Consider closing other windows and applications to enhance video quality

  • Find a quiet, private place from which to conduct your session
