I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Prolonged Exposure Therapist who provides counseling and psychotherapy to adolescents, adults, and couples at my private practice in the Rittenhouse Square area of Center City Philadelphia.

My passion is empowering individuals to live more satisfying lives. I do this by helping my clients to look at their relationships, choices, and life in different ways, make sense of difficult past experiences, and acquire the tools and skills needed to realize their personal potential.

I primarily use cognitive behavioral and mindfulness-based approaches to therapy; however, I believe that therapy is most effective when tailored to meet the needs, strengths, and goals of each client, so I make use of various therapeutic techniques in order to most effectively help each client make meaningful, positive changes in their lives. Sessions often involve us working collaboratively together to help you gain insight into your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and learn healthy coping skills to modify maladaptive patterns.

I specialize in providing evidence-based therapies for anxiety disorders and related conditions, including social anxiety disorder, panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, specific phobias, OCD, and PTSD. I have advanced, specialized training in Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy for OCD and Prolonged Exposure Therapy for PTSD. Research has shown these therapies to be among the most effective forms of treatment for these often debilitating disorders.

Additionally, I have had the privilege of working with many clients who have experienced significant benefits from participating in these specialized therapies and have expressed relief about having finally found a specific form of therapy, that goes beyond traditional talk therapy, that is helpful for them.

My interactive approach to therapy will challenge you to actively pursue change while compassionately understanding how difficult the change process can be. We will match the pace of therapy to where you are and what you feel ready to implement in your life.

My belief is that a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship is an essential component for therapy to be beneficial. So I offer a free, no obligation consultation to help you decide if I’m the right therapist for you. Contact me today to schedule your free 45-minute in-person consultation today.
